So Mr C started Prep today (well all the billy lids started school but I digress) I suggested talking to the teachers about his nevus, ops, scars, satelites and what not.
So I threw together a bit of DBPP and ended up with an interesting photo log of his journey so far.
After about three weeks of starting school Hamish's Reception teacher pulled me aside. She had looked through his medical records at school and was surprised we hadn't written anything. I had no idea what she was talking about and then it dawned on me she was talking about his face. It's not something we ever thought about writing on there or talking to them about and after that initial questioning we never had anyone ask us anything again. He was at the school for thirteen years, having just completed Yr 12. I hope your sons schooling journey is as positive as his has been. We are about to embark on a family gap year overseas before he starts Law at Uni. jo
